GENERAL INFORMATION
The province of Yozgat provides a transition point between Central Anatolian Region and the Black Sea Region. The province of Yozgat is one of the oldest settlement areas of Anatolia and accommodates rich products of Anatolian Folk Literature.
HOW TO GET
Highway: The Bus station : The bus station is located in the city center and the transportation to the bus station from the city is possible via minibuses.
Railway: The railway between Ankara - Kayseri provinces passes from Yerköy - Şefaatli and Yenifakılı districts inside the borders of the province. The railway stations are located inside the district center.

- Tasting the Testi (jug) Kebab and Tandır (earthen owen) Kebab,
- Drinking Arabaşı,
- Participating to the Sürmeli Festival between the dates of 10 -15 June.
BUYUKNEFES (TAVIUM) ANCIENT CITY
The ancient city was founded by the Trocmi nation which was a branch of Galat nation. The Büyüknefes ancient city was the capital city of this civilization and is located on the Yozgat - Haydarbeyli road. The city contains pillars, lion statues, ring stones carved from hard rocks, bird figures carved on the rocks, ruins of a paved road, burial grounds and pools. There are also the traces of a wide square and roads displaying the existence of an underground city in the vicinity of southeast direction.
HISARBEYLI (YOGURTYURDU) PLATEAU
The plateau is located inside the Akdağ forests. The Hasbek - Hisarbeyli - Akdağmadeni road passes through this plateau. A big creek flows between two hills. One side of the hill is covered with pine trees while the other side is covered with small plantation. The plateau is inhabited by the Hasbek and Hisarbeyli villagers during hot summer seasons. There are numerous cold fresh water springs. The plateau is famous with its yogurt.
